Mar 17, 2015 · unindentified network - no default gateway today i was just watching video on youtube and then suddenly i have no internet connection, there is an exclaimation mark on the LAN thing and when i type ipconfig/all in cmd, it shows that i have no default gateway. can anyone help pleasEEE !!! For the IP of the router and switch, you could go to cmd prompt and type ipconfig /all and hit ok, the default gateway IP should be the router IP, once you get the IP, type it on the url and logged in from there, provided there's no ssid or passphrase enable.

I can connect to the router through 192.168.1.1 and have security setup etc. imy mac address shows up in the dhcp clients list. in the status tab everything looks normal except the default gateway is all zeros. So I changed the properties back to "automatically assign ip adres" and I went into cmd, I typed "ipconfig/all". It now shows NO default gateway, and it shows the ip that I copied from my laptop
Aug 06, 2016 · After you set your router back to auto, try releasing and then having it re establish the ip connections - ipconfig /release, and then ipconfig / renew to have it reconfigure your ip addresses,

Oct 27, 2010 · I had an issue with the DNS server virus about a month ago. If you open your network connection and edit your dns address close out and bring it back up and you find it changed again, then you have the DNS server virus. If you already know what your default gateway you could make sure you route directly to it under internet connections.
